CATALYST GOLF EXPANDS DISTRIBUTION INTO THE U.S. WITH DAVE PELZ AND GARETH RAFLEWSKI TRAINING AIDS

Catalyst Golf expands distribution into the U.S. with Dave Pelz and Gareth Raflewski training aids including highly sought-after putting mats

Ontario based golf company, Catalyst Golf, The Short Game Experts, reports brisk sales of its exclusive collection of training aids featuring short game experts Dave Pelz and Gareth Raflewski. The collection features eight practice and training aids that have experienced rapid growth in Canada and are now being distributed in the U.S. to golf retail and pro shop accounts.

Training aids have seen explosive growth over the past year and Industry forecasts expect continued growth over the next five years due to the increase in beginning golfers and golfers practicing more at home.

The Pelz Player Collection includes the Pro Putting Cups that allow golfers to sharpen their putting skills by using inserts to reduce the size of the hole. “Tour players and low handicap golfers know that if you want to reduce your number of putts per round, practice to a smaller hole. If you do this consistently, when you get to the course the hole will seem easier to hit, and you WILL shoot lower scores,” said Pelz. Each set includes two Putting Cups, two sets of inserts, a carry bag, and tour proven instructions and games from Pelz.

Putting mats were one of the highest trending golf products last fall and holiday season and continue to see increased demand as beginning and experienced golfers understand that using a putting mat is the fastest and easiest way to learn great putting skills. The Pelz Putting Mat includes markings for putter alignment, distance, and speed and is designed to work with the Pelz Putting Cups so golfers can build their own home putting practice center. Included is a foam wedge that can be used for a ball return or breaking putts and each mat is made with TPR backing with grips, so it lays flat and does not slip.

The Raflewski Tour Collection includes The Putting Mat, The Putting Ruler, and Putting Discs.  All of Gareth’s training aids are based on teaching methods he uses with tour players on the PGA and LPGA tours. Several top tour players carry the Putting Ruler and Discs in their tour bags and use them as part of their practice and warmup routines on their way to win championships.

The Putting Ruler has been a favorite training aid of golfers and can be seen in many bags on the professional tours. One side of The Putting Ruler has color blocks to develop good speed, tempo, and distance control. The other side has measurement markings that Raflewski shows you how to use as a stimpmeter to help golfers learn to judge slow or fast greens.

The Putting Discs and Dots kit includes four putting discs ten putting dots, and a carry case to keep in your golf bag. “I use the Putting Discs and Dots to help tour players understand and develop the three keys to putting – Line, Speed, and Green Reading,” said Raflewski. “Several Tour players carry The Putting Discs and Dots and The Ruler and use them on the practice green for practice and warmup before tournaments.”

Raflewski featured his Putting Mat in a video lesson on the popular TXG Tour Experience Golf YouTube channel, and Catalyst Golf sold out quickly and continues to be a strong seller. The Putting mat has white dots and numbered zones for eye coordination, distance, and speed skill building games. The Putting Mat measures 10.5’ x 2’ and is also made with non-slip TPR backing.

All Pelz Player and Raflewski Tour products are available now at CatalystGolf.ca and will be available soon at golf retail stores and golf course pro shops in the U.S. Each practice and training aid includes an instruction book with drills that Pelz and Raflewski use with tour players. Additional exclusive drills and videos are available at CatalystGolf.ca.

"The Pelz Player Putting Mat is right up there with the competition. Solid build construction, multiple hole distances, and easy storage are some key benefits. The 10.5 foot length puts the Pelz mat gives you that extra distance for an “at home” mat to really nail down every putt within 10 feet. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking to start sharp this offseason or to add to their home or office golf setup."

Gareth Raflewski’s short game training is highly respected and the same programs can be followed by you at home. The Raflewski Tour putting mat is a realistic fit for any home and rolls pure. I can’t stress enough how difficult that is to come across, and especially at an affordable price point. So if you’re looking for a legitimately good quality, useful mat that won’t break the bank, I’m pretty impressed by the Raflewski Tour mat. - Bill Bush, Driving Range Heroes
